libgusb-dev software package provides GLib wrapper around libusb1 - development files, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libgusb-dev
libgusb-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libgusb-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libgusb-dev *
You will get with libgusb-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
